CONCEPTUAL TIME MACHINES

Félix Guyon graduated from the University of Montreal in 2006 with a BA in Industrial Design. His own design office is Les Ateliers Guyon, founded in 2012 in his ancestral village of Verchères near Montreal. The Art Directors Club of New York asked them to create a travelling installation featuring three conceptual machines that bridge the past and the future. The machines were created using a combination of artisanal craft and new technology, they represent the work of over 100 artists through features such as a piano-gramophone, a slide-carousel and a chair-stationary bike that projects images onto a screen. The work is currently on display at a selection of art galleries.
