FILIP DUJARDIN

Filip Dujardin is a Belgian photographer from Ghent, he uses digital collage techniques to combine and distort photographs of real buildings.

Starting from real images, his photo manipulations depict impractical and sometimes structurally absurd buildings. Dujardin’s visionary architectures pays homage to Belgian surrealist artist René Magritte, and Belgium’s brutalist architectural history. The maze-like buildings created by Dujardin are both bleak and entrancing, and highlight the eager endeavors of modern design and development—whilst also drawing attention to their occasional impracticality.
