JONATHAN BALDOCK

A universe of faces, in multiple colors, to be worn, inhabited or confronted, such are the offerings of British artist Jonathan Baldock.

A thread, and as it grows, a hole. Their agreement is pure, perverse too. Eventually their lovers’ discourse finds itself trapped in a jungle of veils. From such transparency, turned upside down, the couple blossoms into faces. Our pair now opts for hued silence. They ponder fabrics of thoughts not yet spoken, their colors are tender, light would not taint them. Instead they radiate their eyes, wheeling composites of joy, distance and blue tears. Those spinning movements dictate a melody to be interpreted by jumbling limbs, hymns for knees. A hole, and as it glows, red.
