Kota Yamaji is an art director and digital illustrator based in Tokyo, Japan. Inspired by Magritte, his 3D works are an explosion of bright colors, pop illustrations that represent surreal scenes and subjects. Faces transformed into cubes, cyclopes, trees and globes – a bold and crazy style inspired by Japanese culture. In 2015 Kota also realized the official music video for “あなくろノイズ” – according to Google Translate, that’s Anachronism Noise in English – by tilt-six: an imagery belonging to some sensual dystopian future that matches perfectly with the song’s poppy dance feel.
