Michael Jantzen explores art, architecture and design in his imaginative renderings of conceptual buildings and structures inspired by nature, technology and science.
For over 40 years, Jantzen has worked as an artist and designer to reinvent an eco-friendly environment. He has designed experimental homes, hotels, bridges, wellness centers, cellars, visitor centers, aggregation sites and he has been the author of numerous art projects, both public and private. Nasa also took advantage of his work.
“Most of my work attempts to merge art, architecture, technology, and sustainable design, into one unique experience. I have not been educated as an architect, but rather as an artist. As an artist, I often use architecture as my art form. Much of my work, in one way or another, explores new ways of thinking about sustainability and interactivity…I want to reinvent the built environment in order to extend the reach of consciousness.”
