MICHELE GABRIELE

The disturbing life forms that Italian artist Michele Gabriele creates through a mix of alien materials and everyday objects offer a glimpse into an alternate or possibly future world.

On purple a lake boiling wild, feverish tendrils submerge their crystal cut shapes into a miasma of rotten circuits. By the shore a processor waits lazily in the shade, all its sensors ready to spot any potential prey. Joyous mating shrieks condense into fluorescent gas clouds, their notes and harmony determined by horny algorithms transmitted to them by telepathic channels. This is life here, the metastasizing ebb and flow of generations springing forth from the ripe womb of a corporate hive mind driven insane.
