Colectivo Cais is a Portuguese architecture studio that undertook the restoration of a light-filled home located in Lisbon’s Belém neighborhood. The existing site previously hosted the ruins of an old warehouse, a storehouse and backyard space, the studio expanded the residential structure in order to include an upper floor, but kept the front historic facade with its beautiful green tiles. They said about the project: “In the backyard, -we created- a topographical arrangement in order to optimize the relationship between the house and the outdoor areas.”
