UNFLATTENING

Nick Sousanis, a researcher at Columbia University in New York, is a comic enthusiast and he has written and drawn his doctoral thesis, Unflattening: A VisualVerbal Inquiry into learning in Many Dimensionspublished by the Harvard University Press as Unflattening. The thesis is not a super-hero story, the researcher wants to re-evaluate the importance of the visual appearance of our thinking, one of the basic characteristics of highly effective narrative and educational cartoon. He did it, creating a single big argumentative comic, 200 pages long, divided into eight chapters and two short interludes narrative. It’s available here
