Patricia Urquiola is a Spanish architect and designer based in Milan. She was mentored by some of the masters of Italian industrial design: Achille Castiglioni oversaw her graduate thesis, and Vico Magistretti, with whom she designed her first projects.

Her latest project is called “Visioni”, two rug designs with contemporary and abstract patterns that look more like technical drawings. Made of Himalayan wool and pure silk, Urquiola’s rugs for cc-tapis are produced manually using traditional techniques from Nepal and referring to the country’s craft.
