BLX2, Raphael Kadid

Raphael Kadid is a Swiss architect and designer. BLX2 is a wall lamp, part of his Current series, available for purchase on his website.

The lamp is made of a single brass tube and a black aluminum head component. Like the Brass Lamp X, the lamp works by reflection against the wall it leans on. Balanced from the weight of a black fabric cable, the light source remains in a horizontal position. Silicone bumpers are placed at each extremity of the tube and head to provide grip and protect wall and floor. A 1.8W mirrored light bulb is used to create indirect lighting. The lamp can be easily assembled and disassembled by sliding the aluminum head along the brass tube.
