CHICKEN CARAVAN

DOH Studio specializes in design that is simple and minimal, that heightens and deepens the outdoor experience​. DOH (Designers on Holiday) started as a passion project (and a camp experience) for designers Tom Gottelier and Bobby Petersen in 2014. During 2017 private commissions started to come in and DOH Studio was formed as a platform to showcase the philosophies developed during the camp. One of their latest project is a Chicken Caravan:

the project consists of an automated and mobile chicken caravan for The Ecology Center based in San Juan Capistrano, California. DOH write: “Every morning at sunrise this cabin opens its doors for the hens, letting them out on new pastures around the farm. After a plot of land has been harvested this coop is moved there, leftover scraps becomes food for the hens while they fertilize the land and prepares it for a new planting season. A portable fence accompanies the coop, keeping hens in and predators out.”
