FOLDWORK
Studio Berg is a design studio in Berlin, it is founded by Friederike Delius in 2014, after her graduation from the Universität der Künste Berlin (Berlin University of the Arts).
Studio Berg aims to connect design and artistic approaches in order to question the classical appearance of products. A perfect example is Friederike’s diploma project, “Kammergestalten”. Everyday objects are usually locked in closets because their unattractive design interferes with the decor, so she wanted to give them a new look and identity. “Foldwork” is part of the project, it’s a clothes dryer that becomes a decorative wall made of brass, without losing its function. It can also be expanded to provide more space for drying clothes.
