Graduated from l’École de design Nantes Atlantique in 2002, Ionna Vautrin has successively worked with Camper, George J. Sowden and Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. After receiving the Paris Grands Prix de la Création, in 2011 she opened her own studio, collaborating with differents brands and editors, such as Foscarini, Kvadrat, Christian Dior, Lexon, Moustache, among others.

Ionna’s products meets halfway between vintage and contemporary, everyday objects in which industry meets poetry. The union of organic and geometric shapes, a cheerful and colorful spirit, an intuitive and functional usage, these are some of the characteristics of Ionna’s designs.

For example the Lampe TGV, originally imagined for the new high-speed trains in France, it was commissioned by SNCF. This light rationally combines contoured lines with geometry. The simplicity of the TGV lamp design makes it a complicit object that invites the traveller to settle in, an element of domestic character promising “home-like” comfort.

Ionna’s projects are not only products, they have their own peculiarities and history, with a strong and recognizable aesthetics, fresh, proportionate and engaging. Discover more, visit Ionna‘s page and follow her on Instagram!
