MiArt 2017

Yesterday was the last day to visit MiArt 2017 – Milan International Modern and Contemporary Art Fair; Alessandro Rabottini, with his extensive international experience, had been appointed in 2016 as the new Artistic Director – during the last four editions, directed by Vincenzo de Bellis, he worked in his team as curatorial coordinator (2013, 2014 and 2015) and then as Deputy Director for the 2016 edition.

Even with a 13% increase of the participating galleries, this edition was characterized by the same quality of the last years: 175 galleries from 14 countries gave voice to the various dimensions of the art market, an exploration between past and present, modern and contemporary, high design and experimentation, with evergreen pieces like Boetti’s maps. Among the different clusters, this year was the first time for the “On Demand”, a cross-section of genres and categories, which showed context-based works and the site-specific projects!
