PRINCESSEHOF MUSEUM’S TEAROOM

Industrieweg 29 interior architects‘ aim is to create real experiences that add wow to real life. The studio delivers concept, design and realization for private, commercial and public spaces.

The 100^th birthday of the National Museum of Ceramics Princessehof in Leeuwarden was the time for a major renovation. The studio made the museum more accessible, both literally and figuratively: by opening up the rather closed 18^th century building and bringing the interior to the 21^st century. They also opened up the entrance area and connected it to the shop and the tea room that are also part of the design.
Vibrant colours invite visitors to the tea room, tranquil greys make the merchandise pop out in the museum shop, clear contemporary lines in some exhibition spaces make the collections pop out and almost float. Historic patterns and colours emphasize the exhibition spaces.
