PROJECTION: KITE, Pamela Tan

Pamela Tan is an architectural designer that explores various fields in art, architecture and design. Her work blurs the boundaries between disciplines that embody narrative and values in all form. She aims to propose speculative ideas that seek the subtle unseen and unveil the unknown delights in all scales.

Coinciding with Good Vibes Festival —Projection: Kite, is a spatial installation to symbolise life and festivity. Design elements of Projection: Kite derive from the methodology of drawing graphical perspective with strings. The installation has been configured with modular structures to project a kite, a common festive crafted object — a symbol of celebration. Vibrant colourful strings from the body of the kite envelope the structure extending into the central atrium. Weaving in and between the interstitial and arches, the colourful strings playfully invites you to experience a visual portal of lightness and transparency.
