Kengo Kuma and Associates have completed a restaurant and bar in Kichijoji, a suburban town outside Tokyo that still retains the atmosphere of black-market, popular during the post-World War II period.

They uses recycled materials, including ethernet cables, to give the restaurant its distinctive textured appearance. The furniture is made of left-over melted acrylic byproducts, that allow the space to become invisible with stools and tables appearing to float independently. Opposite the bar there is a large wall painting by Teruhiko Yumura, his punk manga motifs serving as the backdrop.
