Sydney Jay Mead<\/span><\/a> was born in St. Paul Minnesota, in 1933, he is a visual futurist.<\/p>\n

He brought his creations in several science fiction films<\/span> produced<\/span> in the eighties<\/span> and nineties<\/span>. The most<\/span> famous<\/span> are <\/span>Blade<\/span> Runner<\/span>, Tron<\/span>, Aliens<\/span> and the first<\/span> Star Trek movie<\/span>.<\/span> Syd, 81 year old, worked recently<\/span> at the<\/span> concept<\/span> of<\/span> Elysium<\/span> and<\/span> Tomorrowland<\/span>, distinguished by<\/span> a<\/span> unique<\/span> artistic research<\/span> and<\/span> an attention to details<\/span> never<\/span> seen before<\/span>.<\/span> Together with Ron Cobb<\/a><\/span> e Chris Foss<\/a><\/span>, Syd<\/a><\/span> is considered the<\/span> most famous<\/span> visual<\/span> futurist <\/span>ever. He recently completed\u00a0 a documentary of his career with director Joaquin Montalvan, \u201cVISUAL FUTURIST\u201d, it was released in May 2007 on DVD and is available through the virtual Oblagon bookstore on the Syd Mead official webpage.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
