In the Medulum collections, <strong>traditional woodworking meets experimentation<\/strong>, at the boundary between custom pieces and refined mass production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guided by the artistic direction of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.accardibuccheri.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>AccardiBuccheri<\/em><\/a> studio, <strong>Medulum <\/strong>is constantly seeking out new design languages, through synergy, constant feedback and precious collaboration with architects, designers and design studios. From this point of view, the 2022-2023 furniture collection <strong>Meraki <\/strong>involves some of the brand&#8217;s long-standing partners: in addition to the artistic direction, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.caradavide.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CARA \\ DAVIDE<\/a><\/em>,&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.serenaconfalonieri.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Serena Confalonieri<\/a><\/em>,&nbsp;<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.debonademeo.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Debonademeo<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em>and&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vivianadegrandi.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Viviana Degrandi<\/a><\/em> studios; it is also enhanced by new design visions from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frattinifrilli.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>frattinifrilli<\/em><\/a>,&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/naessi.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Naessi Studio<\/a><\/em>,&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.filippoprotasoni.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Filippo Protasoni<\/a><\/em>,&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/mvst.it\/studio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Matteo Vilardo<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;e&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mm_products_and_doodles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Marcello Marino<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Medulum \/ Lagoon reflections\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/761489816?h=5450182159&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color\">v<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Going into detail of the pieces of the <strong>Meraki <\/strong>collection, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accardibuccheri.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>AccardiBuccheri<\/em><\/a>, <strong>Mauro Accardi and Silvia Buccheri<\/strong>, architects, designers and art directors of the brand, designed <em>Arcate<\/em>, a declared homage to elements present in Venetian architecture such as Santa Fosca church, the Torcello and Murano basilicas. The volume is characterized by elements in solid wood skilfully milled with <strong>mastery of the manufacturing process<\/strong>, create a system of recesses and handles which mark out the surface, while remaining apparently invisible. The series consists of a seven-drawer chest, a dresser and bedside tables in different finishes: black walnut\/ European walnut\/ oak \/ black painted open-pore ash walnut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>Tapparella <\/em>furniture series, by the Milanese design studio <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.caradavide.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CARA \\ DAVIDE<\/a><\/em>, investigates one of the most characteristic aspects of the Venetian domestic landscape: shutters, Venetian blinds. The cabinet designed by <strong>Cara Judd and Davide Gramatica<\/strong> thus reveals a highly unusual structure, with a strong graphic influence, influenced by and at the same time an homage to the domestic element it is inspired by. The collection &#8211; available in three different variants: the <em>Nanda <\/em>cabinet, the <em>Uma <\/em>sideboard and the <em>Aparna <\/em>container \u2013 stands out for its use of woods with decisive and vivacious nuances. The woodgrain catches the eye in addition to the presence of <strong>vibrant, multi-coloured textures<\/strong> which hark back to the psychedelic culture of the 1960s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A hybrid piece of furniture which aims to both fill the role of <strong>container<\/strong>, while also functioning as a <strong>sculptural element<\/strong>, the custodian of dreams and desires, it&#8217;s <em>Astro<\/em>. Designed by the Venetian design studio <em><a href=\"https:\/\/wevux.com\/debonademeo-signs-products-emotions0069099\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Debonademeo<\/a><\/em>, <strong>Luca De Bona and Dario De Meo<\/strong>, the piece of furniture bears testament to the very <strong>high manufacturing and cabinetry skill<\/strong> of <strong>Medulum<\/strong>, applied in this case to the creation of a trunk for contemporary furnishing. The geometry also recalls the Roman aqueducts from which the designer borrows their<strong> arched structure <\/strong>and transforms it into the key detail of a table which is minimalist in form, but at the same time highly evocative. Acquabella is available in black walnut\/ European walnut\/ oak\/ painted open-pore ash<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Turno <\/em>is the table designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frattinifrilli.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>frattinifrilli<\/em><\/a>, the Milanese designer <strong>Davide Frattini Frilli<\/strong>. A piece of furniture with an unmistakable identity: <strong>a solid sculptural volume<\/strong> lightened by rounded shapes. The table top plays with the four supporting elements with a semicircular base, compact and decisive in their plastic linearity. <em>Turno <\/em>is available in 3 different variants: fully painted\/ European walnut, black walnut or oak tabletop and painted legs\/ painted tabletop and European walnut, black walnut or oak legs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Medulum<\/strong>, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/naessi.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Naessi Studio<\/a><\/em>, the Roman designer duo <strong>Eleonora Carbone and Alessandro D\u2019Angeli<\/strong>, designed <em>Variations<\/em>. The oak table is characterized by circular inlays that overlap and follow each other along the entire circumference of the tabletop, supported by a base which is also circular, located at the centre of the table. A simple ribbon of natural-fibre fabric is transformed into <strong>a tactile and material decoration<\/strong> in perfect harmony with the smooth wood surfaces. <em>Milla <\/em>is available in black walnut\/ European walnut\/ painted\/ oak\/ Blue or ecru rigid grosgrain ribbon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Geng\u00e8 <\/em>is the collection of non-mirrors created by the designers <em><a href=\"https:\/\/mvst.it\/studio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Matteo Vilardo<\/a><\/em> and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mm_products_and_doodles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Marcello Marino<\/a><\/em>. The piece of furniture aims to lead the observer to investigate, in a contemporary way and without any form of virtuality, the ancient theme of identity and its double. Thanks to a particular interplay of points of view, it&#8217;s only possible to scrutinise its image when looking from the right angle, while those looking from the outside will continue to see only the mask formed by the object.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meraki <\/strong>is undoubtedly a collection of <strong>high craftsmanship, with an eclectic nature and a strongly evocative character.<\/strong>
