Located in the Puerto de Chuburna Yucatan Mexico, El Palmar is a summer house designed by architect David Cervera.

Surrounded by other buildings used mostly as holiday retreats, El Palmar is a one storey building that is composed by three main intersecting spaces: “It proposes a simple scheme of 3 crossroads looking to the north a semi-open terrace, a living area with kitchen that extends the space with an outside terrace that approaches the palm trees and is integrated with the swimming pool, the bedroom is placed in a more private area, to the east.” One peculiarity is the wall finish: obtained from the roots of a tree, it’s named Chukum as the plant and it’s a material with a waterproof quality that does not need to be painted.
