HOUSE AND GARDEN
Ryue Nishizawa is a Japanese architect that designed the residence and workplace House & Garden, located in Tokyo.
Nishizawa used only glass walls because of the original site dimensions: only 4 meters in width. The building has 5 storeys characterized by concrete floor slabs and each one with a garden to invite the residents to go outside. A spiral staircase connects the building, a greater opening cuts through the roof of the last floor, allowing taller plants to grow through.
